Keeping resolutions

Set intentions and go with the flow

Do your new year's resolutions drift out of your consciousness by the end of January? It seems almost futile to set resolutions because so often they are abandoned. Journaling, meditation and visualization are three keys to achieving your goals.

Write down your intentions in the present tense, as if you've already achieved them. (E.g. "I, Michelle, am now practicing headstand for 10 minutes per day.") Post them in a prominent place where you'll see them every day. Be sure to note, in writing, when you achieve progress. It's important to recognize that everything occurs step-by-step, since most of us want things to happen magically and instantly. In meditation, take a few moments to visualize yourself having achieved your goals. Remember the wise words of Napoleon Hill: Whatever your mind can conceive and believe, you can achieve. Cheers!
