the benefit of doubt

when given the opportunity (& you're always given the opportunity)
believe something good about someone (& your own self, too)
rather than something bad (outlaw inferiority/superiority)
when you have the possibility of either (freedom of choice)
turn doubt around (give 'em the benefit)
unload your burden (sit still & listen)
there's no place to go (no ghosts under the bed)
be where you are (invite love & compassion in)
give 'em freely (no labels or bows necessary).

We can never have enough of that which we really do not want.
