Yoga Schmoga is for Everyone. Read All About It.

Karma is a Sanskrit word that literally means "action." The law of karma describes the connection between actions and their resulting forces. Wholesome actions lead to wholesome states while unwholesome actions lead to unwholesome states, individually as well as collectively.

Karma is mind-bogglingly complex and cannot be simply understood as it is used in American popular culture. Stealing from someone doesn't necessarily mean you will be stolen from.

The best thing we can do as humans is to act with compassion and help our fellow beings -- humans, animals, plants, the planet. Consider taking time out of your busy life to volunteer, donate time and/or money, connect with someone, reach out.

Let every interaction be an act of service. Smile. Listen attentively. Listen more than you talk. Speak and act mindfully. It's good karma.
